About The Council of Pharmacy Executives and Suppliers
The Council of Pharmacy Executives and Suppliers (CPES) is a division of the Institute of Healthcare Executives and Suppliers (IHES). IHES was formed in 2002 to provide forums for premier healthcare system chief executives to share their knowledge, best practices, and years of industry insight and feedback with prominent healthcare corporations. In 2004, The Council of Supply Chain Executives (The Council) was formed. Just like IHES, The Council provides industry insight with leading supply chain executives in the same dynamic format. In 2015, utilizing the proven concept of IHES and The Council, we have expanded with The Council of Pharmacy Executives and Suppliers (CPES).
Both IHES, The Council and now CPES are designed to create interaction between the senior executives from premier health systems and corporate executives from the industry’s leading companies. Our corporate members are provided the unique opportunity to present detailed information about their companies in an environment that provides for mutual education for both parties.
The Pharmacy Executive Members participate in CPES to unselfishly assist each other and our corporate members in better understanding and meeting the needs of the dynamic healthcare industry. CPES is an educationally based organization and is structured to facilitate education between both the providers and suppliers. Both the Executive Members and Corporate Members are active participants, but they are not financial shareholders, and they do not hold any executive or corporate positions within CPES or its parent company, the Institute of Healthcare Executives and Suppliers, LLC. CPES is not a group purchasing organization and CPES does not facilitate the purchasing of products and/or services. CPES is governed by a set of Operating and Guiding Principles.
